Michael

I know I did a post about all the things I have learned being married to Michael, now I'm going to write about all the things Michael does in our lives. He is pretty amazing and if I could clone him....I would be a BILLIONAIRE!

1. Michael does the laundry at least 75% of the time (he even folds and hangs it up)
2. Michael does the dishes and unloads the dishwasher and if he doesn't know where it goes he leaves a note with a "?" on it! :)
3. When we got a new car he let me drive it for 2 weeks even though the car is really his to drive, he knew I liked driving it.
4. Most sundays when I get home from work Michael has cleaned the bathroom (that includes the toilet, vacuuming, the mirror and countertops), vacuumed the house, cleaned up the living room and done the dishes.
5. He will trade me cars and then give me my 4-Runner back cleaned (inside & out) and gassed up!
6. He helps me pack lunches
7. He always checks with me before he goes golfing. (He knows he doesn't have to, but does anyway)
8. Has been to a million weddings with me and NEVER complains (he knows I love weddings)
9. He goes with me shopping for stuff to decorate the house with (even though I know he could care less)
10. Takes the trash out, everytime!
11. Always walks Gizmo!
12. Even though I quit working nights so we could spend more time together, he encouraged me to join a running club because he knew I wanted to.
13. Sometimes I am asleep when he gets home at night, but I leave the lamp on in our room so he can see, I always feel him kiss me on the cheek and wisper "I Love You, Goodnight Baby" and turns the light out.
14. He calls me every morning to wake me up.
15. No matter where he is, who he is with or what he is doing he ALWAYS tells me he loves me!!!

Michael does more than pull his weight at our house. He is soo awesome and I can't even begin to explain what my life would be like without him!!

I know Michael doesn't read this but I want him to know just how much I appreciate him!!

Love you babe!

Cash for Clunkers

Michael and I traded in his 1994 Dodge Pick-up truck (the truck is one of the many reasons I fell in love with Michael) and his 2002 Nissan Maxima for a 2009 VW Jetta! We love it!!! Neither of us have ever owned a new car, so this is a first for us and we are loving it.

It had 60 miles when we bought it!!

Meet the Teacher

Well today was Meet the Teacher and I got to meet my 15 little Pre-K Munchkins! Let's just say that this class is going to be very different from last years class. Today they had our room a total wreck! I mean I know they were playing and having a great time getting to meet and play with their new classmates while their mommy's and daddy's filled out paperwork but they had everything in the kitchen (including the kitchen table & 4 chairs) drug over to the rug, the legos in the kitchen and the blocks in the reading center! So we will have to have a little talk Monday morning about where things stay in the room!

Putting all that aside I think these kids will be a lot of fun! Can't wait until Monday!

Whirlwind!

Since I last posted a LOT has happened in our lives! I got back from my summer vacation with my college roommates in Montana! We went to Glacier National Park and went White Whiter Rafting. The water was SOO cold! I'm not kidding it was 54 degrees! But we had fun!

Hiking in Glacier, yep that's snow!!!

Here we are rafting...

I got home on July 28th and we closed on our house July 29th! Signing our lives away until 2039!! :/

Here we are getting our keys!!! WOO HOO!!!

Walking into OUR home!! It's officially ours!

Michael and I are so blessed and excited to finally be homeowners! This process has been a long time coming for us! Thank you for everyone who has prayed for us during this process! Once my house is decorated better I will post pictures!

"Heather Montana"

I know I know, it doesn't have the ring like "Hannah Montana" but what can you do?!

I am coming to you live from Great Falls, Montana. Where is that you ask?! It is in the middle of no-where! j/k! It actually is a very cute little town with an Air Force base thrown in it! My college roommate Karrie and her husband Jeremy are stationed in Montana and Amanda (my other college roommate) and I are visiting them for a week. We have been here since Tuesday afternoon and have been on the move ever since we got here!

Amanda and I at the Airport at 5:30am! Man that was a hard one!

Here we are getting on our plane from Denver, CO to Bozeman, MT. Notice that we are standing by the plane! Yeah it was that small!! :/

Our first stop Yellowstone National Park

I have never been to a National Park so I didn't really know what to expect. Geyser's are a BIG thing in Yellowstone. They are everywhere you go!! The ground around them is very unstable, so they have boardwalks for you to walk on. The bluer the water the hotter it is! They can be as hot as 175 degrees!

Oh yeah...THEY STINK!!! They smell like rotten eggs or smoke bombs!

Here we are sitting in stand still traffic...This is what you call a "Bison Jam"

Yep! You're right! That Bison is just hanging out in the middle of the road! they have the right of way and there really isn't much you can do but wait or try to go around them! *This is a daily occurrence at dusk!*

So Yellowstone is really mostly in Wyoming, but have to have the traditional "Welcome to..(enter your state here) sign!

I have heard about Old Faithful and she sure lived her to her stories!!! It was beautiful!!!

Here we are, myself, Amanda and Karrie at Lake Yellowstone:

After 2 1/2 days in Yellowstone we headed to Jackson Hole, Wyoming! It was a cute little snow town, that looked weird with all the green mountains! They have some cute shops and this weird Elk Antler arch!

We have rested at Karrie and Jeremy's today and are headed out in the morning to the Farmer's market and then to Galcier National Park, then White Water Rafting on Sunday! I will post more once we get back sunday afternoon!

Goodnight!

Show Us Your Life- Wedding Dress

I am so excited I can now officially join in Kelly's "Show Us Your Life" Blog Fridays!

I was married on June 7, 2008 (06/07/08) Yes I planned it that way! :) Here is my Wedding Dress. The designer is Maggie Sottero. Both os my college roommates had Maggie dresses and I LOVEd them both!

I LOVE my dress! I had always said I wanted a strapless dress, but when I tried this one I knew it was the one! I also knew it shock Michael! I love the small yet defining detail around the waist and on the straps of my dress.

My veil was my "Something Borrowed" I borrowed it from my longtime friend/college roommate/bridesmaid Amanda! I loved it! the beading matched PERFECTLY to the beading on my dress. I got my dress at a store in Tulsa Bridal Classiques. All but 2 of my bridesmaids (they lived out of state) went to the bridal shop on a saturday in January. I wanted to look at the 2008 dresses. I probably tried on like 20 dresses, but the one I picked out was the 2nd one I tried on. I knew it was the one but I wanted to make sure!!! It only took 2 hours to pick out my dress and for my bridesmaids to pick out theirs.

Here is Michael and I in front of our cake. I have to say it was just as good a year later!!!
