Back to normal

Today was the day! Gizmo went to have his external stitches out and most importantly, that cone removed! He HATED that thing! Can you tell how happy he was...

Since he got his collar "cone" off, I decided that he had been such a good dog these last 14 days that I would treat him to a "cone" he could enjoy...

Hey Mr. Postman!

How I got my name "Ms. Huder"

I have to say I am INCREDIBLY blessed to have these three families (there are more but these keep me pretty B-U-S-Y!!) to babysit for!
3 years ago this mom came to me over Spring Break in desperate need of a nanny for the summer for her then 5 year old and 9 month old. I agreed and spent my summer with the most fun loving, hysterical, thumb sucking, snack all the time kids!!!
This little boy could not pronounce Ms. Heather so he made his own version and he started calling me "Ms. Huder" and that little boy is turning 4 today, he still calls me Ms. Huder, he still sucks his thumb and he still makes me laugh! This blue-eyed blonde hair little boy has stolen my heart!!

They have added one more precious little boy to their family....

Currently still 'babies' in my eyes!

This mom I knew through church, her daughter had been in my sunday school class. But it wasn't until the day before I got married my bridesmaid's and I were getting pedicures and in walks Kelly, 7 months pregnant with Maggie at the time! Her and her mom were getting pedicures before Kate's birthday party (which was our wedding day!) We started talking and after we got back from our Honeymoon, Kelly kept me pretty busy!

These girls are about to add a new baby (gender to be know July 8th!) to their family and I am sooo excited!!

This stinker, Maggers thinks its sooo funny to call me "Kara" (my other friend who shares the same love for these girls!!)

Miss Kara and I were added to Kate's bedtime prayer list, so I guess we're keepers! ;)

The last of my three AMAZING families is best friends with Kelly. Becky and I also knew each other through church, her daughter Caroline is 1 day younger than Kate, so needless to say they are BFF!!! Kelly gave Becky my number and we have created a 2 year friendship!

There oldest Caroline is a sweet, kind hearted, polite, spunky little girl! She is about to have TWO more babies for siblings! That's right, her mom is pregnant with TWINS!!

Clark is a momma's boy, loves his blankies, but has a smile that will melt your heart, a personality that will leave you laughing and he is soo smart!! I hope for Clark that one of the twins is a boy! He is surrounded by girls!!

To these three amazing families...Thank You! Thank You for entrusting me with your precious children, Thank You for letting me spoil them, Thank You for letting me play with your kiddos and most of all Thank You for treating me like family!

Happy Father's Day

I know we don't have children but we do have a four-legged child that is GREAT with gift giving! I got a mani/pedi for Mother's Day, not to shabby! Every dog needs a mom and dad!

Gizmo told me a few weeks ago when he was outside with Michael watering the yard, that he wanted to get Michael a hose caddy for Father's Day. We have to have a hose that stretches 100 ft in order for it to reach the back portions of our yard, so imagine if you will Michael getting frustrated with all the hose and just throwing it on the side of the house. Got the image? Well Gizmo is such an observant dog and getting Michael a hose caddy will solve all of Michael's problems!

We went to my parents for dinner, opened gifts (well dad did) and had Angel's Food Cake (dad's favorite!) Our dad is one of a kind! He is always there to lend a shoulder, an ear, advice, the voice of reason and occasionally (when we were younger) embarrass us! But hey isn't that what dad's do?!

With no more Grandpa's around he is the only man we celebrate this Father's Day and I can't wait to celebrate more with him!

Love you dad!

Follow the yellow brick road!

Sester and I lucked into two free tickets to the Matinee show of the Wizard of Oz at the Tulsa PAC. Let me just say it was WONDERFUL!! I remember watching the original Wizard of Oz with Judy Garland with my mom when I was little. I had two favorite things 1.) Toto! That was the most well trained/behaved dog ever! I know that it has had many hours of training but dog are like small children, you never know when the will cooperate! 2.) The Munchkins! They used little kids that were from a surrounding towns dance studio and they did not disappoint! Those kids were soo cute and sang very well. Everyone knows the story so I won't go in to great detail but it was great! It was also a nice afternoon to spend with Sester!

Mr. & Mrs. Daniel Davis

We have met some wonderful friends through our neighbors. On of our new friends Kara & Daniel tied the knot last night.

They were married at the Central Park Community Center in Downtown. The ceremony was outside and even though it was a little toasty it was a beautiful (Sorry no picture)

Kara dress was beautiful it fit her petite little figure so well and she was glowing! I know they have looked forward to this day for a while now and I know they were glad the day was here!!

We met Kara and Daniel through our neighbors Colby & Carisa. We played softball with them this last spring. Daniel is a great guy and you can see he really loves Kara. Kara is just the sweetest girl, with a spunky personality and she loves Daniel!

We have met some amazing friends whom all are married or getting married in the next several months. We are so blessed to have found couples we all get along with, have things in common, love for OSU sports and just like to be in the company of each other.

Despicable Me in 3-D

My mom's office gets free sneak preview tickets to new movies that are coming out and last night I took 2 precious girls I babysit to see Despicable Me in 3-D! I was a very cute movie! The girls laughed the whole time and thought they were super important because no one else has seen the movie since it isn't out yet! It's the little things in life!

Poor baby!

Gizmo loves to have his ears rubbed, its kind of like a massage to him. Last friday he was standing on the bed and I rubbed his ears and noticed a mass behind his right ear. I acted totally calm and called the Vet to leave a message so they would call us first thing in the morning. Ok, for those of you who know me know I TOTALLY freaked out and started "goggling" what it could possibly be. The Dr. looked at it and said it was a mass and they would remove it and then send it in to have it checked out. He said he diagnosis would be that it is benign but he wanted to send it away to be sure. I dropped him off at 7:30 is morning and my in-laws picked him up at 3 and he was sooo ready to go home!! He has to wear his collar for 14 days then go back and have a his stitches taken out.

I am hoping it is nothing but I feel so much better knowing that it is gone from his ear! He is having a hard time walking with his collar but he will figure it out. We are just glad our little guy is back home with us and we are just relaxing so he can be back to his normal self!

On our way hone from Grandma and Grandpa's (isn't that the saddest face ever!)

Gizmo goes swimming...

Well he sorta goes swimming! Michael and I were leaving Wal-Mart yesterday when we spotted their kiddie pools and we both said "Gizmo needs that!!" Since Gizmo was about to have surgery...story to follow...we decided we would get him a pool! Michael and i filled the pool while we were grilling dinner. Needless to say he thought it was a HUGE water bowl! Hopefully he will warm up to the pool as the summer warms up!!!

"Mom and Dad thanks for this HUGE water bowl!"
