Happy Birthday Gizmo!

6 years ago on the eve of America's Greatest Homecoming Celebration a puppy wondered in a warehouse in downtown Tulsa.

It was fed by a very handsome man who was wanting to get a dog for him and his girlfriend to call their pet. The man brings him to Stillwater to show his girlfriend and it was instant love!

They took him to Walkarounds and he even had his picture taken with Pistol Pete at Theta Pond. That evening they man and his girlfriend let the dog sleep in bed with them (boy was that a mistake!!) The next morning they take him to the vet to get him checked out and find out just how old he his.

They decided he is about 9 weeks old, so they count backwards 9 weeks and WA-LAH, he has a Birthday, July 19th, 2004. The man and his girlfriend have been going back and forth on a name. The man likes Oscar (he looks a little like a Boxer, get it Oscar De Lahoya (sp?) the boxer?)

But...

The girlfriend really likes Gizmo for some reason. (and as most of you know the girlfriend, now the wife, usually gets her way ;) )
So Gizmo it was!

Little did these people know what they were in for! And little did this dog know that he was going to be the MOST spoiled, loved, well fed, walked, treated like a human dog ever!!

Ok Story time is over, its me talking (or typing) now!!

We have truly LOVED having Gizmo with us.

There is just something about the love a dog gives you and how loyal they are that no human friendship can compare.

We do wish that Gizmo was a little nicer to other dogs so we could get him a sister, but he likes being and only child and having this mommy and daddy all to himself!

We may not have any children but he is our four-legged child!

Gizmo, your dad and I love you and we are so happy to have you in our lives!

You are so fun to play hide and go seek with and you are one heck of a snuggler!
